About / Bureau of questionable departures

A discovery layer, not a travel agency

Tunnels, cemetery walks with municipal explanations, tidal river beaches, decommissioned prisons. Legitimately bookable, and nobody organises it as a category. We find it and hand you to the supplier who runs it.

What this is not

Workflow

How a listing gets published

Pull. Supplier results for one city, one category, pulled server-side. Nothing is scraped.

Cut. Generic, duplicate, unsafe or weakly relevant listings go. Most do not survive this.

Verify. Title, location, duration, restrictions and URL checked against the supplier's live page.

Frame. A dispatch line and a caution line, written alongside the facts and never over them.

Tag. Controlled tags applied against their written tests. Freshness date stamped.

Publish. An editor publishes. Nothing reaches the site on its own; stale records deactivate.

Money

Terminal Leisure may earn a commission when you book through our links, at no extra cost to you. No operator pays to be listed and nothing is ranked by commission. Full disclosure.

Coverage

Every entry here is written before it is listed. Where we have matched a listing to a specific operator, you will see their price and running time. Where we have not, the page says so and the button opens the supplier’s own results for that thing rather than guessing on your behalf.

Receive the
bad idea dispatch

One useful, strange, bookable thing every week. No bucket lists. No productivity advice.
